“Will Bring Laws To Stop Love, Land Jihad”: Amit Shah At Assam Poll Rally

Union Home Minister Amit Shah today said during an Assam poll rally that his party would, among other things, bring in laws to stop love and land jihad. He also said that every woman college student will be given ‘scooty’ free-of-cost for women’s empowerment.
Speaking in Kamrup district of Assam, the senior BJP leader said, “The BJP’s manifesto has several items. But the biggest among them is that the BJP government will work towards bring in laws against love and land jihad.”

Earlier this year, too, the state government had claimed that it will will bring separate laws to stop forceful religious conversions and another to protect the land rights of the indigenous Assamese people.

The party manifesto also promises to enforce a deradicalisation policy to identify and quash organisations and individuals fanning communal exclusion and separatism.

He claimed his party turned the state agitation-free and terrorism-free, and promised to make it a job hub and flood-free. He also said that B.Ed colleges will be built in every block and two lakh government schools and eight lakh private jobs will be generated before 2022
