OBC panel urges government to calculate OBC in census

The National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC) has urged the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment to learn as part of the “Census of India 2021 exercise” to collect data on the population of Other Backward Classes (OBC) in the country. NCBC Secretary Anand Kumar sent the recommendation to the Secretary, Ministry of Social Justice on Thursday. Kumar did not respond to queries sent by The Indian Express.
