We are talking about the technology received from Israel. Indian Army has procured new Heron drones from Israel under emergency procurement. These are much better technical than the earlier Heron drones. The new Heron drones will be able to jam enemy aircraft, artillery and other radars in a better way.
This will also improve surveillance and it will also be easy to see every movement of the Chinese army in real time without going to the LAC. The Army has taken these Heron drones under emergency procurement. Let us tell you that the Modi government has given an amount of Rs 500 crore to the Army, Navy and Air Force for emergency purchase. The army does not even have to take any kind of approval from the government for purchase from this amount.
The Navy has also taken three Predator drones from General Atomics of America as an emergency purchase. Whereas, the Modi government is also going to buy 30-30 attack drones each for the Army, Navy and Air Force. After the arrival of these 90 drones, new power will also be available for the three parts of the army to attack the enemy. The deal for the purchase of these drones from America is expected to be done next month.
At present, the army has procured anti-tank guided missiles, guided artillery shells, hammer missiles, etc. under emergency procurement. The three wings of the army are now in talks to buy more weapons. In the coming days, the army and air force are also preparing to field many more sophisticated weapons against China and Pakistan.
