JNU has become the den of the country and Ram opponents. Here the Supreme Court’s decision is openly blown away. The decision of the Supreme Court is also not valid in the campus of the university, because after the hanging of Afzal Guru, voice has been raised against the construction of Ram temple. The issue of sloganeering regarding the reconstruction of Babri Masjid in the campus has now gained momentum. Lawyer Vineet Jindal has filed a complaint against JNUSU President Aishe Ghosh and Vice President Saket Moon. It has been said in the complaint that after the decision of the Supreme Court, the way was cleared for the construction of Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya.
Advocate Vineet Jindal has argued in his complaint that now doing so on behalf of the JNU Students’ Union is provoking the Muslim community against the construction of the temple and hurting Hindu sentiments. Therefore, a case should be registered against the office bearers of the student union for sedition and spreading social disharmony. The process of reconstruction of the Ram temple has been carried forward by the order of the Supreme Court of India, such an event clearly questions the decision of the Supreme Court of India to demand the reconstruction of the Babri Masjid.
In a complaint addressed to Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana, Jindal said, “The students’ statement condemns the court’s decision, also raises questions on the secular nature of our Constitution which is the foundation of the country’s judiciary system.” JNUSU vice-president Saket Moon had said, “It has to be accepted that the demolition of the Babri Masjid was wrong. It should be rebuilt.” On the other hand, student union leader Aishe Ghosh said that after Babri Masjid, the next target of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is Kashi and the saffron party has started working on it.
A protest march was taken out by the JNU Students’ Union on the night of 6 December. During this, activists of student union and activists of Left organizations demanded the reconstruction of Babri Masjid. Slogans like “Nahi Sahenge Hashimpura, Nahi Karenge Dadri, Phir Banao Babri” were raised on behalf of the student union workers. 29 years after the Babri demolition incident, the students union took out a protest march in the JNU campus in protest against this incident, saying that the Babri Masjid should be rebuilt. A large number of Left students gathered at Ganga Dhaba of JNU campus and marched to Chandrabhaga Hostel.
