Sikh community came out in support of PM Modi in Britain, gave a befitting reply to Khalistani propaganda

With help from Pakistan, pro-Khalistan terrorists are resorting to propaganda to portray Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government as anti-Sikh. Under this, campaigns are being organized in America, Canada and Britain. But the Sikh community itself has risen against this campaign. The Sikh community living in Britain, while supporting Prime Minister Modi, praised the steps taken by the government in the interest of Sikhs.

On Sunday, leaders of the Sikh community met at Gurdwara Guru Sabha, located in Park Avenue, Southall, UK, in which a resolution was passed in support of Prime Minister Modi and India. During this, the Sikh community expressed its gratitude to Prime Minister Modi and said that his government has done a lot for the Sikhs and to clear their misconceptions. The Sikh community also thanked Prime Minister Modi for declaring 26 December as Veer Bal Diwas.

During this, the Sikh leaders and Gurdwara committee officials involved in the meeting openly challenged the propaganda campaign being run by Khalistanis against India and the Modi government. The resolution passed by the UK’s local Sikh community in support of India is being seen as a bold move, as the diaspora Sikh community was silent against Khalistani propaganda so far. This initiative of the Sikh community living in Britain can further strengthen the campaign against Khalistani propaganda abroad.

Significantly, the British Sikh Association (BSA) had expressed regret over the incident of stopping Prime Minister Modi’s convoy in Punjab’s Ferozepur on January 5. BSA Chairman Lord Rami Ranger said through a press release that Prime Minister Modi’s visit was a huge opportunity for the development of Punjab. He even said that till date no Prime Minister has done as much work as Prime Minister Modi has done for the spread of education of Sikh Gurus and for the development of Punjab.

Lord Rami Ranger said that the misguided people who interrupted his journey should feel that he was coming on tour to do more good for the state. By obstructing the visit of Prime Minister Modi, he has worked to block the development of entire Punjab. I urge the leaders of Punjab to express unequivocally sorry to Prime Minister Modi for disrupting the yatra. Prime Minister Modi announced the withdrawal of all three agricultural laws on the auspicious day of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Prakash Parv.
