Prime Minister Narendra Modi meeting a delegation of Sikh leaders at his residence in New Delhi today, February 18. Sikh delegates from across the country presented shawls and kirpans to Prime Minister Modi. Sikh leaders say that today’s meeting was historic and the meeting had no political agenda. In the meeting, the delegation said that during the Modi government so much work has been done for the Sikh community which has never been done before. The delegation said that during the meeting, all the steps ranging from Kartarpur Corridor to the Sikh riots and punishment for their culprits were discussed.

The people of the Sikh community also made some requests during the meeting, including the creation of a Sikh university. After the meeting, Shri Guru Singh Sabha Indore President Manjit Singh Bhatia said that Prime Minister Modi said that his doors are always open. Mahant Karamjit Singh of Yamunanagar Sevapanthi said that Prime Minister Modi has done a lot of work for Sikhism like Kartarpur Corridor, Chhote Sahebzadon, Big Sahebzadon’s Children’s Day and besides Lakhpat Sahib Gurdwara Sahib and Guru Ke Langar Ki GST.
