In Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackeray’s minister Nawab Malik is being questioned at the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office over the underworld connection. ED officials reached Nawab Malik’s house around 6 am. Where after questioning for about an hour, the officers took Nawab Malik with them to the ED office. His interrogation is going on in the ED office since 8:30 am. According to NDTV, Nawab Malik is being questioned in connection with the underworld property case.

According to the news, on February 15, the ED had conducted raids in Mumbai and registered a new case in connection with underworld connections, illegal purchase and sale of properties and hawala transactions. After which Malik is being questioned. According to Dainik Bhaskar, on November 9, 2021, former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis made a sensational disclosure of Nawab Malik’s relationship with the underworld. He had said that Nawab Malik bought land from Dawood Ibrahim’s gang. These lands belong to the accused of blasting in Mumbai.
He alleged that Salim Patel, a close aide of Sardar Shah Wali Khan and Hasina Parkar, had a business relationship with Nawab Malik. Both of them sold crores of land on LBS Road in Mumbai to a company of Nawab Malik’s relative at the cost of a penny. According to Fadnavis, 3 acres of land was sold for only 20-30 lakhs, while its market price was more than 3.50 crores. It is also being told that Dawood’s brother Iqbal Kaskar has named him in the ED’s interrogation. Kaskar is in ED custody.

After NCP leader Nawab Malik was accused of connection with Dawood Ibrahim, the ED started tightening its noose. In such a situation, on February 23, when the ED picked him up from home and took him to his office, Maharashtra BJP leader Nitesh Rane made such a tweet, about which users are enjoying on social media. Nitesh Rane tweeted that hope everyone knows that Nawab Malik has been brought for questioning at ED office. This inquiry is taking place in the Dawood Ibrahim money laundering case. Stop making him a hero. This is a matter related to the security of the country. Dawood is a most wanted criminal and Nawab Malik is a traitor.
