At present Pakistan is facing the problem of electricity. By the way, the whole world is facing the shortage of energy supply. But at present the neighboring country of Pakistan is facing severe power crisis due to lack of fuel and technical constraints. Where earlier 21,500 MW of electricity was produced, now 15,500 MW is being produced, due to which 6000 MW less electricity is being produced in the country. According to the information received, the Ministry of Power says that out of the total 33,000 MW power generation capacity, hydroelectric power plants are generating 1000 MW, private sector power plants 12000 MW while thermal power plants are generating 2,500 MW. Many power plants in Pakistan have been closed, due to which the power crisis has deepened there. This is the reason that there is a power failure for 10 hours every day. According to sources, as per information provided by the Ministry of Power, out of the total power generation capacity of 33,000 MW, hydropower plants generated 1,000 MW, private sector power plants 12,000 MW, while thermal power plants generated only 2,500 MW. Due to which Pakistan has to suffer a daily loss of about 10 billion rupees in this sector. Heads of power plants have started filing complaints against the Central Electricity Procurement Agency-Guarantee (CPPA-G) for not supplying enough funds to repair power plants and buy oil, which the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority has approved. Took this very seriously and ordered CPPA-G to distribute funds to the power plants with immediate effect.
