The Prime Minister addressed the nation from the Red Fort on Thursday night on the 400th Prakash Parv of Guru Tegh Bahadur. PM Modi said that where we are today, it is because of the sacrifice and sacrifice of our lakhs and crores of freedom fighters. To see the fulfillment of the dream of a free India, a democratic India, a self-determination India… This Bharatbhoomi is not just a country but it is our great heritage, a great tradition. To honor this tradition, ten gurus had dedicated their lives to protect its identity. It has been irrigated by our sages, sages, gurus with hundreds of thousands of years of penance, enriched its thoughts.

PM Modi said that freedom from slavery of hundreds of times cannot be seen in isolation from India’s spiritual and cultural journey. That is why today the country is celebrating the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence and the 400th Prakash Parv of Guru Tegh Bahadur ji together, with similar resolutions. There is also Gurdwara Shishganj Sahib, a symbol of the immortal sacrifice of Guru Tegh Bahadur ji, near the Red Fort. This holy Gurudwara reminds us how great was the sacrifice of Guru Tegh Bahadur ji to protect our great culture. At that time India had a great hope to save its identity in the form of Guru Tegh Bahadur ji. At that time, Guru Tegh Bahadur ji, becoming ‘Hind di Chadar’, stood like a rock in front of Aurangzeb’s tyrannical thinking.

The Prime Minister also released a commemorative coin of Rs 400 and a special postage stamp before the address. He said that history is the witness, it is the present time witness and this Red Fort is also a witness that Aurangzeb and tyrants like him may have beheaded many heads but they could not separate our faith from us. There were people in front of our India who considered religion as the subject of philosophy, science and self-research, who had culminated in violence and tyranny in the name of religion. In order to protect the dignity of the culture, for its honor, it has been inspired to live and die. We can feel the blessings of Guru Tegh Bahadur ji everywhere in the aura of ‘New India’. Big powers have disappeared, big storms have calmed down, but India is still standing immortal, moving ahead.

The Prime Minister said, “I consider my government fortunate that it is getting an opportunity to do so much for the service of the Gurus. Last year itself, our government decided to celebrate Veer Bal Diwas on 26th December in memory of the great sacrifice of Sahibzadas. Our government is also making continuous efforts to connect the pilgrimages of Sikh tradition. By constructing the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor that was awaited for decades, our government has shown its commitment to Guru Seva. Our government has also modernized rail facilities at places associated with Guru Gobind Singh ji including Patna Sahib. We are also building a pilgrimage circuit connecting all the major places in Punjab including Anandpur Sahib and Amritsar Sahib through ‘Swadesh Darshan Yojana’. Rope for Hemkund Sahib in Uttarakhand
