Meanwhile, now the Yogi government seems to be taking its steps towards implementing the Uniform Civil Code in UP. In fact, UP Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya has indicated this. While talking to the media in Lucknow, Keshav Prasad Maurya has given a big statement on the Uniform Civil Code saying that the country needs it now. Now the time has come that one law should be implemented in the whole country. Attacking the old governments, he said that due to the politics of appeasement, he did not pay attention to it.

A big decision was taken regarding the Uniform Civil Code. CM Dhami decided to form a committee to implement the Uniform Civil Code.

A committee will be formed under the chairmanship of a retired judge of the Supreme Court or High Court. There is a provision in the Uniform Civil Code that people of all religions will have to follow the same law. After the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code, the rules of any particular religion will not be given preference. All will be bound to abide by the rules made by the government.
