On the occasion of Jyeshtha Purnima, the first event took place in the Amarnath cave.

On Jyeshtha Purnima, the first puja was performed in the holy cave of Amarnath with Vedic chanting and chanting of Har Har Mahadev. Lord Shiva in the form of Himling in the cave is seen sitting in full size. Let us tell you, the first puja marks the traditional beginning of the journey. The first puja was performed in the holy cave on behalf of Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board. In which apart from the Chief Executive Officer of the Board, Nitish Kumar, senior officers of the Board and Administration participated. Amarnath Yatra is starting from 30th June and will end on 11th August, the day of Rakshabandhan. Everyone present in the puja prayed for a successful and safe journey. The arrangements for the Amarnath Yatra are being finalized at this time. Preparations are being made keeping in mind the possibility of more number of devotees coming this time in Pahalgam and Baltal, both the routes of the Yatra. Let us tell you, due to Corona, Amarnath Yatra could not be done in two years 2020 and 2021. In the year 2019 too, the travel period was reduced as a precaution at the time of abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. This time the preparations are getting special for the journey going to be held after two years. More attention is being paid to the security system.
