Restrictions imposed on inter-state transport of persons will continue, the Chhattisgarh government announced on Sunday, as the central government extended the lockdown to battle Covid-19 till June 30 but with fewer restrictions.
An order issued by the General Administration Department Secretary, Dr Kamalpreet Singh, said the inter-state transport will be permitted only through e-pass.
Inter-district movement of persons will also continue through e-pass, the order said.
Regarding bus transport services within the state and outside, the Transport Department will issue a separate order.
The Chhattisgarh government has decided that shops will be allowed to open six days a week with physical distancing from Thursday onwards. “Resumption of commercial-economic activities will also help in reviving economy and providing employment in the state. The idea of restarting maximum number of industries in the state was also discussed,” said a senior official of Chhattisgarh government.
