Army trained dogs will now conduct corona test

The dog of a man who went missing in the ravine flood in Reni area of Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district has been waiting for his owner outside the Tapovan Tunnel for the last two days.

New Delhi: Army-trained dogs will now detect the corona virus which has caused havoc across the world. The military has also set up its dog Skvadern to identify Corona. According to the news, the dogs of the Indian Army will smell the sweat and urine samples, who will suffer from Corona virus. So far, about 4 thousand army personal tests have been conducted, out of which 22 coronas were found positive. Testing is being done by these dogs in Delhi and Chandigarh. Corona testing was done with RTPCR and antigen till now but dogs are also being used for this purpose.

The Indian Army has trained 10 dogs for this task. 2 dogs are fully trained and working for corona testing, while 8 dogs are still training. It has taken 16 weeks to train these dogs. Train dogs sweat and sniff out urin to know which sample is positive. The Indian Army demoed Corona Testing and put negative and positive samples in different boxes. The trained dogs were then released to investigate. In the box in which the positive sample was, this dog sat there.

For this purpose, the army has trained three species of dogs, one of which is Swadesi. Army movement is very high in Leh, Ladakh and Kashmir. In such a situation, the Army needs to report the test as soon as possible. The most reliable corona test RTPCR also takes at least 4 to 5 hours, so the army trains the dogs, so that the corona report can be done as soon as possible and now this work is being done by these dogs. .
