Greta Thunberg Toolkit Case : After Disha Ravi more areest awaited

Climate activist Disha Ravi has been arrested from Bengaluru on Saturday February 13 for her involvement in sharing on social media a ‘toolkit’ related to farmers’ demonstrations. Disha is one of the founders of the ‘Friday for Future’ campaign and he allegedly edited the toolkit and forwarded it on social media. He was nabbed from his house in Soladevanhalli area of Bengaluru on Saturday.

(1) FIR was registered in toolkit case on 4 February

The Delhi Police had registered an FIR on 4 February against the makers of the toolkit under sections 124-A, 120-A and 153-A of the Indian Penal Code for sedition, criminal conspiracy and promoting hatred between groups. The toolkit was also shared by climate activist Greta Thunberg. According to the police, the incidents during the farmers’ protests around January 26, including violence near the Red Fort, are all detailed in the toolkit as an ‘action plan’.

(2) The conspiracy was to make Khalistani group alive

The police have alleged that the toolkit case is a big conspiracy against the Khalistani group to be revived and against the Indian government. Police say thousands more people are involved in this conspiracy, they are influenced by Khalistani terrorist Gurupatwant Singh Pannu. Police have alleged that Disha has edited the toolkit on 3 February. His mobile has been recovered but the data has been deleted.

(3) 2 more arrests may occur

Disha said in her defense that ‘I had edited 2 lines. I supported the farmers, who were Annadata, I was impressed by their movement. They give me food and water. ‘ Police said that Shantanu and Nikita are to be further arrested in this case. The police said the intention of the builders was to create disagreement between various social, religious and cultural groups and encourage disagreement against the central government and aimed to wage a social, cultural and economic war against India.

Disha is the co-founder of Friday for Future India (FFF), the organization that launched the Global Climate Strike Movement in the year 2018. Explain that Disha has graduated in business administration from Mount College. He is currently the Culinary Experience Manager at Good Milk Company. Earlier, the Delhi Police on Friday asked Google and other social media companies to provide email ID, domain URL and some social media account information associated with the creators of the ‘Toolkit’. This ‘toolkit’ was shared on Twitter by climate change activist Greta Thunberg and others. The ‘tool kit’ contains guidelines and content related to trending a campaign via Twitter. Disha Ravi, arrested by CyPAD Delhi Police, is an Editor of the Toolkit Google Doc & key conspirator in document’s formulation & dissemination. She started WhatsApp Group & collaborated to make the Toolkit doc. She worked closely with them to draft the Doc. Delhi Police has taken cognizance of a ‘Toolkit Document’ found on a social media platform that predates and indicates a copycat execution of a conspiracy behind the 26Jan violence. The call was to wage economic, social, cultural and regional war against India.
