Vijayvargiya says TMC did dirty politics to counter BJP’s lead

A day after the arrest of West Bengal BJP leader Rakesh Singh in a drug case, the party’s national general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya on Wednesday accused the Mamata Banerjee government of doing “dirty vengeful politics”. “The Mamata Banerjee government is playing dirty politics of vengeance. Rakesh Singh is a popular and skilled leader with a trade union background and the support of thousands of workers in Kolkata. Therefore, cases are being framed against him, ”Vijayvargiya told The Indian Express in a brief interview. BJP in-charge of West Bengal Vijayvargiya said that “strange allegations” have been leveled against him as well. “I do not know what I have been accused of. I am allegedly a hair seller, rapist and many other things. Now every morning I prepare myself to face any kind of strange allegation, ”the BJP leader said, adding that he has also quipped the party leadership to protect his life, but also his dignity. There is danger Singh, a BJP state committee member and convenor of the party’s Basti Cell, was arrested in connection with the arrest of Pamela Goswami, state secretary of the BJP Yuva Morcha, for possessing 76 grams of heroin. Goswami has alleged that Singh had conspired to bind him. He named Vijayvargiya as the leader close to Singh. When asked about the reports, Vijayvargiya said, “Who is this Pamela Goswami? I do not even know him. Which leader is he? I do not think that such accusations deserve a response. “He seems to be under great pressure to blame BJP leaders.” This is common practice here. They (TMC) blackmail people, arrest them and pressure them to name party leaders. This is a dirty game they play to counter the BJP’s political boom. He said, “Now BJP leader Arjun Singh, who was ‘pure’ when he was with TMC, has 104 cases against him, and over 60 cases (former TMC leader and current BJP vice-president) Mukul Roy,” he said . Vijayvargiya said that because of Goswami’s allegations, the BJP had to “guard” the flow of people in the party. He said, ‘We have not only stopped taking every leader who wants to join us, but is also keeping an eye on the people we are joining. It has been in place since last month. He said that the state police also acted at the behest of the TMC government. “But now things are slowly changing, they are balancing a little bit,” he said. The BJP leader also stressed that the CBI and ED’s recent moves against TMC leaders were long overdue. “It is just a coincidence that the action now comes. The investigation has been for some time, ”he said. Vijayvargiya said that the BJP, which is holding a deep grip in West Bengal, will focus on three issues in its campaigns – the failures of the TMC government, its corruption, nepotism and the ongoing mafia; Secondly, what changes can the BJP bring in higher education, law and order, industry and infrastructure development and agriculture; And third, the transparency in governance that will be brought by the BJP government. “For the BJP, which works to its advantage, people have faith in the leadership of Narendra Modi,” said Vijwargiya. “People in Bengal have already tested Congress, CPI (M) and TMC, but the state is lagging behind. So they are now desperate for change. You wait and see, BJP will do better than its performance in Lok Sabha elections. People should be allowed to come to the polling stations and vote. Then we will win two-thirds of the seats. “.
