26 February (Talks) Expressing satisfaction over the withdrawal of Indian and Chinese forces along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the Pangong Lake area of eastern Ladakh, India emphasized the expeditious withdrawal of forces from the rest of the LAC from China. Has given and said that only after the restoration of peace and stability on the border, the bilateral relations of the two countries will progress.
Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar reviewed the situation on the border as well as India-China bilateral relations in a telephone conversation with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi for 75 minutes i.e. about a quarter of an hour on Thursday. Both sides stressed on LAC to restore normalcy as soon as possible. The two ministers also agreed to keep in touch and set up a hotline.
